Madcow Studio
Madcow studio provide artistic and creative activities. Our workshops offer learning and exploring
through creativity and experimentation. Activities are project orientated to emphasise a sense of achievement. Conceived and brought to life by Dóra Á Rögnvaldsdóttir, the studio is wam and welcoming and open to all levels of experience.
Her love of sculpture informs the medium she works in and how it challenges the notion of spontaneity. Her attitude to life is energetic, so she instils that motion into the work.Her sculptures deny the heaviness of the medium, giving them a feeling of movement and energy, where lines, form and shadows all play an equal part.
Her inspiration draws largely on nature and the impact of time through people, as well as folk lore and history from her native Iceland which she approaches in a variety of ways and styles, from small bronzes to mixed media wall sculptures and large outdoor sculptures.
